Hybrid Pellet

HYBRID PELLET

A waste management organization based out of Mumbai which handles industrial waste of over 1500 industries registered for waste disposal and regulatory compliance in that region. The company operating in Landfill Facility, Hazardous Waste Transportation, Waste Treatment and Stabilisation facility, NABL accredited Laboratory for waste characterization and E-Waste recycling plant has approached NuGreen Energy for providing hybrid biofuel pellet solution along with biomass. The first project with NuGreen is under discussion.

Some of the other hybrid solutions using industrial waste and biomass being innovated by NuGreen are as follows:

Crude Oil Sludge Solution- Petrolet® At the behest of the Ministry of Petroleum, which funded BPCL for making hybrid pellets predominantly using the crude oil sludge, NEPL was called in to provide technological inputs into making this most difficult hazardous waste as a useful product. The BPCL product was not a marketable product and at the request of both, NEPL developed hybrid pellets under its patented technology and registered trade mark- Petrolet. This hybrid pellet using predominantly biomass mixed with the oil sludge, a new product was created which has no parallel in the World. Such a hybrid pellet was independently tested and found a low emission of SOX and NOX. This is the case, with many other refineries which have no economic solution whether in India or abroad that do not have such a cost effective solution.

Dolochar Solution-Dololet ® The other major industrial waste which is generated while making secondary steel wherein for every 100 tons of iron converted into steel, 25-40 tons dolochar residue (unburnt coal & dolomite powder enmeshed to desulfurize the coal) is generated. It is extremely high in ash. In close coordination with TATA Steel, again hybrid pellets with predominant biomass, (patented) hybrid pellets have been developed with amazingly low SOX & NOX emissions. Being a hybrid product of coal & biomass, it is found that combusted pellets residual ash is an effective soil conditioner (94% ASH was containing carbon & minerals useful for carbon sequestration).

WE ARE ALSO WORKING ON DIFFERENT OTHER HAZARDOUS, DIFFICULT TO HANDLE INDUSTRIAL WASTE FOR CONVERTING INTO HYBRID BIOFUEL PELLET AS A SOLUTION ALONG WITH BIOMASS.
